SGA hosts Voter Registration Drive
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, 91Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ’s Student Government Association held a Voter Registration Drive on the Rocky Mount and Tarboro campuses as part of National Voter Registration Day. The goal of the Voter Registration Drive was to make it easier than ever for students, faculty and staff to exercise their civic duty and make their voices heard in elections. Convenient, self-serve stations were available all day on both campuses.
Students could scan a QR code that linked directly to online voter registration portals and tools to check current registration status. Paper registration forms and the voter assistance hotline number were also made available.
Each campus had three registration locations, and approximately 73 students, faculty and staff checked their registration, updated information or registered to vote! Way to go, Eagles!
