Countdown to Commencement
Congratulations, 91Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ Class of 2026! This year’s commencement exercises are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, May 8 in Astemo Auditorium of the Fleming Building (H) on the Tarboro campus. Graduation is a milestone event in the life of every student. Your hard work and dedication over the years has made this special day possible. We are ready to celebrate you!

If you do not participate in the graduation ceremony your credential is not automatically mailed; therefore, you may pick up your diploma beginning Monday, May 11. If you would like to have your credential mailed, there will be a shipping charge and you can arrange this by contacting graduation@edgecombe.edu.
Graduation Applications

Regalia
- Students must complete the cap and gown order form by Monday, March 9. There is no fee for your cap and gown. Therefore, you may not reuse or borrow an old gown.
- One tassel is provided with your graduation cap, so do not select Extra Tassel unless you would like to purchase an additional tassel. There is a $6 charge for each additional tassel ordered.
- For your convenience, sample gowns are available in Student Services on both campuses for you to try on if you are unsure of your correct size. If you need to try on a gown, come to Student Services on either campus during normal business hours.
- Graduating members of Phi Theta Kappa may pay an additional $36 for a stole and additional tassel. Phi Theta Kappa members must have a 3.25 GPA to be allowed to wear the stole and tassel at graduation. - Caps & gowns will be available for pick up on Wednesday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Cummins Conference Room of The Fleming Building (H) on the Tarboro campus. Please make arrangements during this time to pick up your regalia. Please note that a representative from Balfour will be on site showing class rings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. if you are interested in purchasing a class ring. In addition, two (2) graduation admission tickets will be issued during this time.
- If you are unable to attend cap and gown pick up, your cap & gown will be available for pick up at Student Services on the Tarboro Campus anytime until Thursday, May 8 at 5 p.m.

Rehearsal
Graduation rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 12 p.m., in Astemo Auditorium of the Fleming Building (H) on the Tarboro campus. It is very important that you attend this informative session as important details will be shared regarding graduation.

Speaker
Mr. Ron Green, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region, will serve as the keynote speaker for our 2026 Commencement Exercises. Mr. Green brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to the Tarboro and Rocky Mount areas. In November 2025, he received the prestigious Boys & Girls Clubs of America Blue Spirit Award, the highest honor presented to a Club leader. We are honored to have him share his insights and inspire our graduates as they embark on their next professional chapters.

Outstanding Balances
Graduates will not receive a degree if they have overdue books from the library, outstanding balances in the Business Office, or transcripts that need to be turned in. Graduates should resolve any of these outstanding issues today. Inform Kienesha Ebron when these issues are resolved.
