Workforce development has always been central to the mission of 91Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ. Teaching and learning in academic programs, continuing education, and customized training for business and industry focus on preparing students for successful careers.
In January 2020, the new Barnhill-Jenkins Center for Innovation on the Tarboro campus opened for classes. This facility houses advanced manufacturing programs, such as Industrial Systems, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronics, Global Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
These programs are developing a continuous pipeline of qualified graduates and retrained workers ready to meet local and regional workforce needs.
Donors may play a role in helping the College meet the workforce needs of the area by participating in naming opportunities or by making a gift to the College. Contributions are being used to provide equipment, technology, and/or instructional support. Donors will be recognized for their generosity in perpetuity.
