2025 Honda and Other Prizes Added to the ECC Foundation Golf Tournament

The 91ӣƵ Foundation is gearing up for the 39th annual golf tournament. In addition to fun and fellowship, participants will have the chance to win a 2025 Honda CRV Sport-L Hybrid valued at $39,000. Donated by Astemo, the CRV from Davenport Autopark of Rocky Mount is a hole-in-one prize for one specific hole at the foundation’s upcoming golf tournament.
This year’s event is happening Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Maccripine Country Club in Pinetops. Each team will be comprised of four players who will also have a chance to win prizes for closest to the pin on all par threes and more. Team members may purchase a mulligan/red tee shot and a hole-in-one. Raffle tickets may also be purchased in advance or at the tournament. Raffle prizes include a Charbroil Performance Series Gas Grill from Lowe’s of Rocky Mount, a DeWalt drill from Ace Hardware in Tarboro, a Greenworks cordless chainsaw from Tarboro’s Tractor Supply, as well as gift certificates from Walmart, Smithfield’s Chicken N’ Bar-B-Q, SuSu and Kizzie’s Sweet Treats in Tarboro and more.
“Last year, the ECC Foundation golf tournament raised more than $50 thousand dollars,” says Tameka Kenan-Norman, executive director of public information and institutional advancement at ECC. “All of the funds raised provide student scholarships and support the operations of the ECC Foundation. With the support of local companies, golf enthusiasts, ECC alumni and many others in this community, we hope to surpass last year’s fundraising total.”
Morning and afternoon teams will be divided into flights based on their skill level. Morning players begin at 8:30 a.m., and afternoon teams will start at 1:30p.m. The cost for a team entry is $500. The individual player entry fee is just $125.
Professional Long Driver, Laura Wern, will be featured in the tournament this year. Participants can also “Putt with the President,” Dr. Greg McLeod.
